Local film-makers without equipment will be able to hire MIB equipment as well as those film-makers needing to supplement their own video cameras etc.
Web-cast station project
MIB is planning to launch a web broadcast site in the Borders in the near future. If everything goes according to schedule this community web casting project would aim to be piloting programme broadcasting in 2011.

In the meantime, connect with Channel Fife TV at http://www.channel-fife.tv which supports the aims of the MIB web project.

The Moving Image Borders project is supported by Media Access Projects Scotland.

Media Access Projects Scotland (MAPS) will work to develop the role of media access across Scotland by supporting the work of members and partner organisations. MAPS will work to encourage excellence and innovation in all areas of the media access sector and to encourage links both national and international with like minded groups and organisations. (Mission Statement)

Lottery and other funding
Moving Image Borders has bought High Definition Video Camera and High Definition Editing equipment as agreed with the terms and conditions of a recent £5,000 Awards for All lottery grant [this was awarded to Borders Mediabase, MIB's previous name]. Edinburgh and Borders Film Focus also recently granted £400 for further website development.
